Into The Woods - Greens

Hello and welcome to another post on Anguli Interiors which today is inspired by my recent visit to Ross Castle.

Ross Castle is a local tourist attraction and walking site where I live which contains the remains of a 15th century keep and tower house which is on the edge of Lough Leane in the national park. It has walking trails around it which include the remains of an old copper mine and lake, the shores of Lough Leane and some beautiful viewing points all surrounded by the trees and woods of the national park. I try to go walking a few times a week and I usually go here but having not been in a little while I started back and it was so nice to see how the woods looked after the recent good weather and it got my thinking of an idea for themes for room designs using these colours.

As you can see from these photos I took the sun was shining down and breaking through the leaves of the trees highlighting the many different tones of green along the branches, bushes and the wood floor, the different types and shades of the wood and all its branches, sticks and various seeds and leaves, and the wood floor was covered with wild garlic flowers also known as Ramsons which created this beautiful subtle floral garlic scent. So it got me thinking of how it would look to try and bring all these colours and shades into a colour scheme for a room design. The richness of the dark wood, the freshness of the white and the burst of green.

The colour Green is associated with nature, tranquility and also luck. It is also known to be calming and a relaxing colour. It is often associated with nature, plants, growth, life and freshness. The focal colour of the following mood boards is "Forest Festival" from Dulux paints.
