Christmas Gift Guide : Home Decor

It is getting to the at time of year where Christmas is getting closer and the realisation that you have to do your annual Christmas shopping for gifts is setting in I thought I would do a blog post on some gift ideas for the person or people in your life who can either be really into interior design and styling or for those who just like to have a few stylish decorative pieces around the house for occasions. There is something for everyone in the world of Home decor and homeware from stylist decorative pieces to practical everyday items.

• Max Benjamin - Wicklow based brand who creates the best (and I genuinely mean the best) scented candles, diffusers, lotions and more. I have been a customer of theirs for a decade and I have honestly not had another brand of candle in my home in all these years. They have a selection of scents from Christmas specials to limited editions. They also do a range of hand lotions, soaps, oils, sprays and car scents.

• Dunnes Stores - An Irish brand that stocks a variety of things from food and groceries to clothing and homeware and they have a range of home decor options like appliances, glassware, crockery and accessories from their own brand as well as brands like Paul Costello and Nevan Maguire.

• Newbridge Silverware - An Irish company founded in Kildare in 1934 which specialises in tableware which is silver plated and has a guarantee of over 50 years. They also have a range of jewellery, giftware, and homeware accessories such as vases, frames and ornaments. They also have a store and museum in Newbridge in Kildare which has exhibitions on Style Icons, the history of the company and a factory tour. • Books - There are such a wide range of home decor, Interior design and home improvement books around so they make great gifts for those who will devour every page and really apply any tips and ideas to their space or those who just like having coffee table pieces for others to look through and view and have them as more ornamental pieces. Below are some books that I myself own and some really good ones I found online. Of course there are many, many, many more but here are a few good ones!

• H&M - This store if you don't know by now is one of my favourites as it has so much to offer. From clothing, home accessories, beauty and even a variety of furniture there is definitely a great variety for both male, female and unisex gifts for anyone in your life. The pricing is also affordable considering how stylish and well designed their pieces are. They have some really on trend and designer feel pieces across all departments so I have selected a few below that would make great gifts this Christmas.
