Dining : Easter Table

Hello and welcome to todays blog post and also the first blog post on the site! I have had a blog for several years on another site which I haven't used for a while so Im going to ease myself back into it for my first blog post! I have chosen to do something fresh and spring themed like a pretty and simple Easter table as the sun has started to shine a little here in Ireland over the last few days. Easter is a more than just a religious holiday it is also a symbol of spring and new life which means bright, fresh and pastel style colours. On this day people usually get together with family and friends even if you aren't necessarily religious as its an opportunity to enjoy a meal together and if you are eating at home you'll need to prepare your table. I myself am not someone who feels a need to buy new tableware or decorations every year for different holidays so I have below a selection of affordable and or reusable everyday pieces that make up a pretty, chic yet affordable minimal Easter table.

This Easter theme is entered around the freshness and brightness of Yellow which also creates a light and airy feeling as well as creating an uplifting and joyful symbol and emotion. The white contrast of the various decorations and flowers really causes the yellow to pop and breath. The greenery adds a natural and earthy element as well as symbolising spring and new life. The easter ornaments such as the rabbits and eggs obviously represent the tradition of the easter bunny and the chocolate eggs he brings but these two represent spring and the way fact that for many animals this is a time for young to be born and continue the cycle of life.
